F.I.R.E. Consultancy at IPTC 2025

11 Jul 2025

Thomas Winter

On 18 and 19 June 2025 the F.I.R.E. Consultancy team attended the IFE’s International President’s Technical Conference (IPTC) as technical sponsors of the event.

The team spent two days exhibiting the work of the organisation and the services we offer, including external wall review (EWS1/PAS 9980:2022), expert witness work and more. You can read more about the core areas we operate in on our services page.

We also took time to introduce the industry to the work of our Fire Door Furniture Company (FDFC), and our founder, Jason Hill, delivered a talk on the technical challenges for building measurement.

Our experience

It was excellent to meet so many like-minded professionals from across the industry and we thank everyone who took the time to speak with us at our stand and attend Jason’s talk.

We were particularly delighted with the great reaction so many people had to our Fire Door Furniture Company (FDFC). We’re glad that fellow professionals across the industry appreciate the work we’re doing to give old fire doors a second lease of life.. We look forward to spreading the word further this year.

Our founder, Jason Hill CEng, FIFireE, said:

“The two-day event was very well organised by the IFE and others. The University of Central Lancashire provided a great space and high-end facilities for networking with the industry. I enjoyed all the speakers and their topics, coming away with knowledge I’ll put to good use. The team and I are now very much looking forward to next year’s event”

Our Head of Operations, Blair Fortheringham CIWFM DipSP DipCIPS, said:

“It was great to get such a positive reaction to the work the FDFC is doing. Attendees were really impressed by the quality of the products and couldn’t believe they were made from reclaimed fire doors.

When we talked about the charitable vision to educate students from different backgrounds and the wider industry, people really understood what we’re trying to do”

Thank you

We’re looking forward to attending more industry events in the future and returning to IPTC next year.

If you spoke with us at the event and want to continue the conversation please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
