F.I.R.E. Consultancy is pleased to introduce its staff exchange programme, another way we can share knowledge and experiences throughout our offices in multiple locations. This will help aid the professional and personal development and growth we’re committed to.

This week (8 - 12 September 2025) staff from our head office in Neath, Swansea, will exchange places with staff from our Italian office in Milan. This will help our staff to understand the environment, challenges, type of work and culture in a different part of the business.

We launch initiatives like this to provide measurable benefits for our staff. Productivity and quality are improved as a result, while experiencing a different location promotes, respect, clear and honest communication and provides healthy new perspectives on the business and our work.

But we don’t stop there. The programme also places staff inside other companies to understand their businesses, such as those in manufacturing, construction, and remediation. This helps establish a clear partnership between industry and continuous professional development (CPD).

Anna Taggart, one of our trainee fire engineers who will be participating in the scheme, said:

“I’m very excited to be logging on from Milan this week. I’m really looking forward to working with our team in Italy, building professional relationships and gaining a new perspective on our work. I’m really grateful for the opportunity and the support I’ve been given to make this happen”.

During this week we’re also delighted to welcome William Tolson, who joins us on an internship until 12 September. The experience will give him the opportunity to apply scientific and engineering principles to understand, control and prevent the destructive effects of fire - typically associated with construction projects where risks need to be designed out.

We’re looking forward to an exciting week of learning and development and can’t wait to get started.
